Literally, no one knew Hammerhead sharks existed till Robert De Niro discovered a school of them snorkeling off the Florida Keys in ‘72. Extra shark facts: they have 720-degree vision, that means they can see 360 degrees twice over.
The only other animal with vision like that is the wild North American Alpaca, which can be both hammered and high at the same time, which leads to their unpredictable tendencies. But I digress. The Hammerhead shark bite is three times that of a walrus. Also curious to note, Hammerhead sharks are color-blind and, culturally, never had any race-related issues (or so they claim). Sad fact: hundreds or thousands or all Hammerhead sharks suffer from sleep apnea…at this point in time there is no cure. Source for facts.
